Let my jewelry experience.
Hello, I'm Coman Baum
I have been in the jewelry business for more than 20 years. In addition to holding a Graduate Gemology Degree from the G.I.A. Institute in Carlsbad, California, I have spent a good part of my life working in my family’s jewelry business, first managing my stepfather’s jewelry store in San Antonio, then a retail store in Birmingham, Alabama. Even in the retail environment, I always believed that selling jewelry was a very personal experience. That’s why I decided to transition my business into an exclusively one-on-one experience. Thanks to my exposure to jewelry manufacturers from around the world I have developed an eye for finding unique designs that go well with traditional and timeless jewelry styles. Matching honesty and transparency with unbeatable customer service and fair pricing has always been the backbone of my success. My mission is to not only educate you about what you are buying, but to also develop a relationship that will last generations. Thanks to a comfortable buying process, my community involvement and word of mouth I have built a business known for quality and kindness. That tradition continues. Buying it is half the fun.
There’s no pressure. We’re in this together. My goal is to make this experience as enjoyable as it is educational. After nearly 20 years in the business, I know that buying an engagement ring can be an overwhelming experience. That’s why I have developed a process that help you understand what you’re buying and works to make you feel comfortable with your purchase.
It Starts with the Stone.
The first step in the process is making you familiar with the style, cut and weight of the stone you’d like to have on your engagement ring. I’ll teach you the basics of the 4 C’s: Carat, Clarity, Color and Cut. Learn more
Shape. Style and Setting.
Next, we will discuss the style of the ring, your preference in settings, as well as the shape and size of the stone you desire. I have the capabilities of showing you different styles of mountings as well as custom wedding sets. Of course, there is always the option of creating a custom ring. Should you decide on a custom design, we’ll discuss a style and direction that suits your taste. From there we’ll sketch up some ideas. Once you settle on a design, we’ll create a 3D wax model, make adjustments and then create the actual ring.
Your Jewelry Wardrobe.
No two customers are the same. As we go through this process, I will create a portfolio of pieces that fit you and your fiance’s preferred tastes and design tendencies so that in the future, we’ll have a good idea of what you like, what looks good with your wardrobe, and which styles you feel comfortable wearing. Over time, you will create an ensemble that resembles your taste and grows in value.
